The MBA In-company Project

The In-Company Project is a new feature of DMU's re-designed MBA and is offered to participants of both the full-time and Executive MBA.

It is an alternative to the traditional research-based dissertation, and will require the participant to work closely with a sponsoring company/organisation on a live project. It offers a unique opportunity for the MBA participants and employers to work together for mutual benefit, enhancing links between regional employers and the Business School.

DMU are now seeking both private and public sector companies and organisations who would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Sponsoring Company/Organisation

The MBA participant would undertake their In-Company Project between June and September. Leicester Business School would ask the sponsoring company/organisation to provide support for the MBA participant in the form of:

• An opportunity to undertake management consultancy - an appropriate work-based challenge for the MBA participant to tackle
• A work base in-house for the MBA participant for the duration of the project
• A mentor within the company to support the MBA participant   

In return, the sponsoring company/organisation would receive:

• A full written report and a presentation with full analysis – very inexpensive management consultancy
• Problem solving and strategic management skills
• Holistic and conceptual thinking – a fresh approach
• Academic support from Leicester Business School throughout the project process
