East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) is looking for 50 businesses from across the East Midlands to take part in a new support programme, called Coaching for High Growth.

Part of Government’s Solutions for Business portfolio, Coaching for High Growth provides businesses with an intensive and bespoke package to help them unlock their growth potential. The support is provided by an expert coach over a 12 month period and is a proven formula to get results.

Second phase of the Regional Innovation Strategy is launched PDF Print E-mail

East Midlands Development Agency (emda) has announced that the second phase of the Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) has been approved by its Board, meaning that regional businesses will continue to benefit from its offer of innovation support.

The strategy, which aims to help businesses and organisations use innovation to become more competitive, was formally launched at the innovation Expo (iEXPO) in Leicester on 12th March, the start of the 2010 innovation Festival (iFestival).

Loughborough University has launched a competition to boost innovation in the British sporting goods and leisure sector. Start-ups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can apply for awards of up to £20,000 to accelerate the development of new products by accessing the world-leading expertise and specialist facilities of Loughborough University’s Sports Technology Institute.

The competition is open to lone inventors and SMEs registered in the UK
